Today is New Year's Day 2013. We went for a little hike and found all this really neat nature stuff. We have moss, a stick, Huckleberry, Pin berry, fern, and a small nest. We decided to get creative and make a centerpiece for our table. I still don't know what type of bird made this nest, but I hope to find out soon.

It is so fun watching all the children get excited over their little brother staying dry. What great encouragers they are!
This is what happens when you leave for five days. Our tree was dead, dead, dead. Ike threw it out the window and chopped it up so we could use it as fire wood. The needles are still in the carpet. It will be months before we can be needle free.
