Looking out our window of the hotel.
We arrived in late afternoon so we decided to walk around to see what this villa had to offer. Every corner we turned, there was music playing, people talking, and kids climbing. They were having a huge party and the hustle and bustle of Cortina made our emotions energized and ready to experience this little town.
Jana's snow dog.
We passed by this bike. Look at those tires! Thought it was too cool to pass up.
Here we are trying to fit into all of our boots. Somehow they fit at the rental place but now, the morning we plan to ski, they can't get their boots on. After a good while of shoving, pushing, and pulling we met the challenge and succeeded.
Isaac was hilarious. The minute we told him he could wear the pink goggles, he put them on and didn't take them off. He loved those goggles.
Going up the hill.
Isaac's first time skiing. I'm glad daddy's a good skier. I was not able to teach him with my amazing skiing talent. (sarcasm there)
Waiting for the restaurant to open so we can chow down.
...still waiting.
This picture shows how tired we all were. We decided to stop skiing so we could eat lunch. James had a slumber birthday party two nights before so he and I had 3 hours of sleep and Ike had very little himself. This was the day that was rough for us. Trying to catch up on sleep while skiing was not the best idea, but we pushed through and managed to enjoy the trip.
Ahhhhhh! Bed!
Isaac playing match just before bedtime.
Playing Yahtzee just before bed.
The next morning we're going out again. Waiting for the elevator. Jana looks thrilled:)
We decided to drive this time...only was lost for about 45 minutes. The roads were too narrow for me and I was glad to have my husband next to me driving on those slippery narrow roads.
And we're off for day two.
Isaac was looking a little comfortable here. If I let him stay there for another ten minutes he probably would have got a good nap in.
Yes! Success!
That looks like fun. Although, when I tried to take Isaac, I somehow got our ski's mingled together and fell at the top. Hmmm. I think I'll leave it for Ike to teach this boy.
Goodbye Cortina!
