Jana's 11th Brithday June 20th, 2103

Happy 11th Birthday Jana!
Jana's 11th birthday was a fantastically fun tween party.  We had a video scavenger hunt with sleep over and lots of games.  She invited four girl friends over and of course her siblings.  This was one of the most fun parties we have put together for her. The video scavenger hunt consisted of silly goals to accomplish while getting it on video.  Some of the most interesting actions they needed to get were to help somebody take their groceries to the car ( which one man denied them that privilege...funny), get a bystander to judge their cartwheels (poor Jana had her boots on and couldn't even do a cartwheel...but she sure did give a lot of effort and was a great sport about it), and riding around pretending to be a horse with a bystander looking at them (yes, they were so embarrassed.  They did it in front of the theater where a large line was waiting for the show to start)  I think it was a complete success.

It was so fun making this horse cake with you sweet girl!...or should I say watching you make it with me cheering you on:)

One of Jana's favorite friends, Mary.
Of course, Jana's best friend Samantha.
                                         Another fun friend Riley
and this cutie pie is Abigail...Anna was another friend who had to leave a little early, so I wasn't able to catch a close-up of her.

This game was the skittle game.  You had to grab two skittles in your hand without looking.  If they were the same color you could chew them up and swallow.  If they were different colors you had to hold them in your mouth until you grabbed two of the same color.  Both James and Samantha lost this game.  They had at least 12 skittles in their mouth at once.  Fun stuff.

Here's little Anna

This game was a winner.   Project Runway  using tinfoil.  Pretty creative girls if I say so myself.  After the judging we rolled all the tinfoil up in a ball and had a tinfoil war.

There's my little birthday girl!

Scavenger hunt #2-  Up at the castle...only we didn't know there was a celebration going on up there until we went around the corner and saw people with balloons.  Had to turn around and play a different game.

This is our tradition- To wake them up and shower them with gifts in bed.
