Science experiments

Thought I better show pictures of us actually doing school.  Here they are learning about water.  They are making water bend without touching it.

Thanksgiving 2013 Salzburg, Austria

We went to Austria for Thanksgiving this year.  We had good Austrian food for Thanksgiving dinner.  No turkey, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole over here.     The above picture is the castle we stayed in.
This is the famous Salzburg Christmas Market.   They had so many amazing handmade crafts.

Just outside our Castle.

...and the castle was made into a working farm.  Here's the cow's that fed us.  Every morning the children got to go gather the eggs for our breakfast.

This piece of wood was carved into a dragon.  It sure was fun to climb all over.

Inside the castle they had antique trunks, farm equipment, ect...

We decided that when we retire, this is what we want.  It is the coolest thing ever!  There is an open fire in the middle of the building that you can grill over.  They gave us each a stick and wrapped bread dough around it so it looked like a snake wrapped around the stick and cooked it over the fire.  After we ate the bread, we watched the owners grill our meat and vegetables over the open fire while drinking a good ol' Radler, which is a lemonade beer or soda pop beer.  It's a common beer sold in Germany and the surrounding countries.  This was one of the main delights during our Thanksgiving trip.

We also went horse back riding.

The top of our castle.

Our view.  Breathtaking!

Now look at that play area.

This is our room.  So sad our camera wasn't working well.  It's a little fuzzy.
This is just outside our room.  Look at those beautiful trunks.
